5.0 Rating Best Pellet Gun - 11/28/2006
Reviewer: Ryan Evans
I think this gun is one of the best pellet guns sold on the shelf. My friend has one just like this one and it's better than all my other bb guns and pellet guns. so if your looking for a good pellet gun for christmas this is the one you need to get for your son or daughter.

5.0 Rating Pellet Gun - 11/28/2006

You Know How it Says ( use lead pellets only) well me and Dallas Spurling put in 12 bb's and pumped it 8 times and it shot perfectly because Dallas Threw up a glass bottle in the air and I shot it and it shattered completely. So if you want to shoot a bird up in the air load it with 12 BB's it won't harm anything. But do pump it only eight times because if you pump it over eight times the O ring will break because thats what I did With Dallas's pellet gun.

4.0 Rating Why you use lead pellets only - 6/28/2007
Reviewer: Old shooter
I was given my first of this rifle in 1954 and love it to this day. Unfortunately no one told me to NOT use steel bb's and over may years the brass barrel wore out. That barrel has been replaced 4 times (tough learner I guess). My original rifle was not a rifle, it was a smooth bore so the time it took to ruin the accuracy was longer than a rifled brass barrel will be if you use steel bb's. Nickel sized shot groups at 50 feet out of the box and sighted in. You don't want to ruin that! Just some advice to new users. BTW, we now have three of these rifles including the one my parents gave me in 1954. We use lead pellets only.

4.0 Rating Nice - 8/12/2007
Reviewer: Alski71
Very nice rifle, I had bought one in white brass walnut finish. Had it for 3 years , never had one hitch with it till I sold it to a buddy....he managed to break it in one night from rapid pumping. The gun could not take the pressure of rapidly being charged. The one other thing I can think of is with time even though the maufacturer suggests not charging it beyond 8 pumps, I noticed a loss of power that could only have been erected by charging it 10 times & then shots fired afterward would be charged to 9 pumps to compensate the loss. This gun shoots wonderfully. I now own a spring gun as quickness is a necessary. I had forgotten just how much of a joy it was to shoot 'cause once I bought the spring gun I just forgot about it, but pulling it out I soon remembered what a joy it was to shoot. So steady, no kick. I still shoot spring but spring is a higher maintenance, I like the long lasting durability of the pnuematics over the spring. I can see another purchase of this classic in my near future.

5.0 Rating Great gun  - 10/26/2007

I have the one my father bought back in 1968. I have killed various varmints and squirrels with it over the years. In 1988 I sent in back to the factory and had the pump seals replaced. It still shoots as hard today in 2007 as it did when I was a kid. If you want a long lasting easy to maintain air rifle that will bust cans or critters with the best of them then this is it. ps my Father paid $40 bucks for his in 1968.
