The Streamlight Trident headlamp is designed for comfort and durability. The adjustable, flexible, lightweight straps can be worn on the head or around a hard hat. The Streamlight Trident headlamp is a high powered professional grade light. Three position lighting, xenon bulb, one safety green LED, and two white LEDs let you select the best combination of lights for the task at hand. The Streamlight Trident headlamp has a 90 degree tilting head and a spot to flood focus, so your light goes anywhere you need to see. It is especially good for outdoor use, sports, automotive work, do it yourself, camping, caving, emergency medical services, industrial work/use, safety, pest control, boating, and aviation.

Green LEDs are popular with hunters and fishers, because green LEDs will not spook game. Green LED will not attract bugs. It is also useful in covert operations because green LED can be hard to detect. Another use of green LEDs is its usefulness in a smoke filled environment.

I use a headlight almost daily for several hours. This one replaced my old Petzl and is heavier and bulkier, but much brighter. I like the green, LED, and regular light. I get approx 30 - 40 hours on a charge with Tenergy premium rechargeable batteries on the LED setting (google them, they are the best ones I have used).

This light is awesome! I have used it several times. This light has 3 different settings. The Green light works great! It doesn't spook animals when you shine it on them. I had 4 skunks and a racoon living in my neighbors backyard, and they would visit and stink up my (not so bright) dog. I would spot them them with it and it's like they didn't even notice. The other 2 lights are for a wide angle (for walking in the woods at night), and a narrow stream of light (for fumbling with your fishing tackle in the dark). The wide angle is very bright where the stream is a little dimmer. The straps are adjustable and very comfortable. I used the light while changing the brakes on my car when it got dark. Once I finished the brakes I cleaned up, went for a test drive and watched TV for a bit then went to bed. It wasn't until I went to brush my teeth that i realized I was still wearing it. This light works great and well worth the money. Thanks CTD!
