Got this with some apprehension. I'm refinishing a Mosin Nagant and just finished the wood. The metal end caps,barrel bands and front sight needed to be touched up. This pen made very short work of it. Works great for the small projects, like nicks, scratches, holster wear, etc. I can't speak to the durability of it, as it's the first time I used it, but the ease of use and the fact that it works causes me to give it a 5 rating.

Works good on carbon steel(not stainless or aluminum)front sights that have been filed down or blue rubbed off.Pretty durable but holster wear will rub it off but one pen goes a long long way for touchups.

I purchased one of these pens to touch up some tiny spots on an old Browning Baby pistol I purchased and it works great! The factory bluing was worn off of the sharp edges of the slide and one swipe of the pen covered it completely. It woked so well I used it to cover some larger rubbed-off spots on my Kel-Tec pistol that is carried daily with excellent results also. It does come out pretty shiny after buffing with steel wool, so it wouldn't be good for matte finishes. Time will tell how durable it is but for now I'm impressed.
