I just got this junk boresighter, looked at it, and the laser was drilled off to one side. I guess you get what you pay for.

Bore sighters are not meant to be an exact process, so I didn't have high expectations for this. I've had it for 6 months now. Works great for what it does, bright enough for me.

These sights work better if u have a long hallway were you can turn the lights off, it makes the laser more visible for sighting in.

I had my brother bought this Bushnell Laser Boresighter in Texas and had it shipped over to the Philippines. I must admit that with all the reviews I had read, I figured that there's nothing wrong finding the truth for myself. I had received my merchandise in its original laminated package about a month ago. I was excited to have it used so I immediately unpacked it and tried it immediately. To my surprise, the laser coming out from the unit was not visible enough to be seen at 7 meters. I thought that the batteries were not good so i had it replaced by fresh batteries. To my disappointment, it did not improve the laser visibility at all. Just the same i tried setting my sights at 5 meters which is just about the closest visible point where i could see the laser. After having my sights bore sighted at that distance, I fired my .45 cal pistol at the same distance where i zeroed it. The groups were not all that bad but the gun was shooting at 8 o'clock all the time. I fired about a hundred rounds of Armscor Factory ammos. Well at the end of the day, I had to go to the gunsmith to have my sights zeroed by them. To me it's an inexpensive way of finding the truth behind the merchandise and as with the rest of the reviewers who found this product not that impressive, you are right!
Okay for indoors

I like the way this easily fits and adjusts to the barrels, using screw in adaptors. Makes switching to another gun relatively quick. Not good for outdoor sunlight rifle sighting. Can't see it at 25 meters. Can barely see it at 10 meters in sunlight. I now use a brighter more expensive, laser bore sighter for 25 meters outdoors. This one works best indoors with my airsofts, BB and pellet guns. For indoor ranges, I'd say it's worth the price.

The laser is not even close to center, if I rotate the boresighter while in the bore, the laser dot moves in a circular pattern approximately 4 inches in diameter at only 50 feet....... None of the adapters will fit a .50 BMG either, I had to test in in another rifle. Dont waste your money.

affordable, yes. but your chances of it even working out of the box, 50/50. spend the extra money and get something worth having.

Well whats to say about this product. Lets start by saying, it looks pretty darn cool, which is good i guess. It is not that expensive either, which is another bonus. But I must say, having been shooting for 14 yrs + that NO gun that has ever been boresighted by me or anyone else, has ever been truly sighted in, ANY FOOL who buys something like this is wasting their time, as for "buda", you dumbass, if you were to spend HALF the money you spent on this on a box of shells, you'd have a much better zero'd in gun. DO NOT USE BORESIGHTERS, THEY ARE WASTE OF MONEY THAT IS BETTER SPENT SIGHTING IN THE OLD FASHIONED AND RELIABLE WAY.
great time saver

Just got this boresighter yesterday and it has paid for itself already. I spent a little time playing with it and found out that a little care needs to be taken when threading the screw into the arbors. I found it very easy to cant the screws as they entered the arbor. It also took me a moment or two to figure out that the screw goes into the arbor opposite the expansion slits. The expansion slits point towards the laser device. then as you turn the screw in, the arbor will expand onto the laser device and fill in the space inside your barrel. I did run the screw in flush with the arbor before threading it into the laser devise. It just seemed to work better this way. Along with the weaver level level level and this device I zeroed a 218 bee revolver and my daughters 10/22 and was cutting paper in just over one hour. I see some of the other reviews written mention the device made circles on the paper mine did not. I have to wonder if the screws in theirs arbors were straight. This prouduct is worth the money I spent.

It does the trick. Inital impression of it is that the laser mechanism is really cheap. Not the most accurate thing but it will still save you a bunch of time. The laser is not centered in the device and if you rotated it in the barrel, it creates a circle on the target. I couldn't get the switch to turn it on/off to work properly (felt really loose and cheap). I took it out of the boresight housing, removed the batteries and reinserted them. After that, the switch worked like a charm. I couldn't find too many other products like this in this price range so I guess you get what you pay for. Don't expect fancy with this one.

On my recently received Boresighter, I noticed that the laser's lens was not centered within the aperture of the housing. The hole is slighlty off-center with the laser's lens. (Unfortunately, this part of the device is not user serviceable.) I installed the correct arbor, inserted the laser inside the muzzle and then rotated the laser around its axis. Instead of a steady dot of light, the laser's point of aim was a big arc. Naturally, the arc grows larger as the sight-in distance is increased. On the example that I received, I am not confident that the laser's beam is in-line with the bore. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I was looking for an inexpensive tool to sight in my scoped rifles as I'm on a fixed budget. This Laser Bore sighter fit the bill perfectly. Easy to use, directions were simple. I even used it to sight in my 44mag. handgun. Did I mention I harvested a beautiful eight point Pennsylvania buck? Its mounted on my wall above my head as I write this. Just understand, this is a great tool for getting you on paper, close to center. But I recommend you still fire several rounds to sharpen your group. I now have two Laser Bore sighters that I used to keep my rifles and pistols finely tuned.
