KA-BAR Short USMC, Straight Edge Knife -
Featuring KA-BAR\'S famous oval shaped leather handles, the Short KA-BAR version of the traditional KA-BAR is made just as well as the original.

Clip Blade -
The clip blade is a classic shape and very practical. Its name describes a shape that seems to have a portion of the spine of the blade clipped off. This brings the blade point lower for extra control and enhances the sharpness of the tip. It provides ample "belly" in the blade for slicing or skinning and a good tip for inserting in and under things that need to be cut. You will often find a false edge with the clip point.

1095 Steel -
This knife is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. It's proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR knives.

Epoxy Powder Coating -
A coating process that protects blades from corrosion and also makes them non reflective.

Flat Ground -
A grind the tapers from the top of the blade down to the cutting edge. Also known as a "V" grind.

This knife tries to be a Ka-bar, but the physical design of the knife blade makes it a short-term-use knife. The "sharp" edge of the blade quickly tapers into thick metal. Great for durability, but if you sharpen too much metal away, you'll be left with a massive slab of steel to try and bring to an edge. If you must have the temporary durability, buy it. If you want a knife that can be used and sharpened over and over again, look for a knife with a thinner blade.

10,000 Marines cant be wrong, for a smaller version, that's LEGAL to carry in most states, this is by far the BEST knife I have ever owned, even with your hand coverd in blood, the handle wont sleep out of your hand, holds an edge for a long time, easy to sharpin, I abuse mine, and the only problem I have with mine, is that dont have more! Best knife ever made! Thank you Ka-Bar!
