KA-BAR, Full-size Black Serrated Edge Knife -
A partially serrated edge makes cutting looped and synthetic materials a breeze. Blade marked 1211.

Clip Blade -
The clip blade is a classic shape and very practical. Its name describes a shape that seems to have a portion of the spine of the blade clipped off. This brings the blade point lower for extra control and enhances the sharpness of the tip. It provides ample "belly" in the blade for slicing or skinning and a good tip for inserting in and under things that need to be cut. You will often find a false edge with the clip point.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

1095 Steel -
This knife is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. It's proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR knives.

Kraton G Thermoplastic Elastomer -
Referred to simply as Kraton, is a man made material resembling rubber that can be molded into knife handles. Knife provides a non slip grip.

I have had this knife for a year now and have used it camping several times. It is an awesome knife and it has been put to tons of use. I would have to say the sheath is pretty crappy, but oh well.

OK! I have a complaint! This knife is too sharp and too comfortable! Ha ha! But seriously, I almost never want to use this knife because I know I will never be able to get it as sharp as it is right now (out of the box). I am not big fan of Kraton G Handle. I think it looks like a cheap rubber. But, apparently it is the "way of the future!"

I Bought this knife over three years ago and to this day I still say it is so far the best dang thing I've put in my survival pack that I use when I go camping, hunting, hiking or anything else I use it for. I have put this knife through and it still is very sharp, the point hasn't broke off, the handle hasn't come apart, and the blade hasn't bent unlike other so called survival knives that I've bought for cheap. this knife is very much worth the price.

Holy hell, this thing has to be the sharpest knife I've seen come out of a box. It's right up there with my fillet knife! It's also very well balanced and sturdy. Definitely a quality knife.
