had this for over a year now. I've done some major yardwork and clearing behind the fence area with this tool. Dense schrubs, branches, and limbs had no chance! It's a alot of fun wielding this thing! Very durable construction!

The machete is well-constructed and looks like it will handle quite a bit of use and abuse. The serrated edge is fairly thick (necessary to give the blade some weight), so the sawing action isn't as easy as a real saw. However, for hacking and cutting through the brush, the serrations are a nice addition. The handle has a nice feel to it, though it's more squared than rounded, which will contribute to some hand fatigue over time. The handguard is a nice addition (beats smacking your fingers into a tree trunk), but you still need the added security of the wrist lanyard. The sheath is beautiful as sheaths go. The blade rests in the sheath very loosely, however, so if you're moving faster or pushing through brush, you could easily have a retention issue. Just a minor detail to be aware of. Made in China. Not my favorite thing to see on anything I purchase, but largely unavoidable nowadays. All in all, a good tool for a good price.

This is an awesome machete. The serrated side is real nice and is almost better than my saw. If you are wondering the blade is 18 inches, the handle isn't counted. The sheath of the machete is real nice and not a piece of crap one you would normally get. The only problem is that it comes a little dull but its easy to sharpen. Thanks CTD.
