Have used these models from safariland for years in various configurations, for k frames and n frame smiths as well as colt Python, and a few rugers. This model functions with the model 29 series (44 mag) s&w as well as the ruger redhawk. Much better than the hold the cylinder still..while you twist the knob to release other brand....simply push forward to release fresh rounds into the cylinder...a no brainer, just what you need under stressful situations. tough as well...first saw them demonstrated by being thrown baseball style into a block wall...without an accidental release of any rounds..the "glock" of speedloaders! Execellent item..the winner hands down.
