The patented 1 piece XGRIP adapts the full-size 7 or 8 round metal floorplate magazine for use in the compact, incorporating the larger magazine into the compact's grip, and increasing the gun's capacity to 7or 8 rounds. Law enforcement and military personnel can carry the compact with a standard magazine when concealment is important, then insert the 7 or 8-round magazine with XGRIP when firepower and capacity become critical.

The XGRIP has been designed to flow seamlessly into the design of the 1911 handgun itself, reinforcing the aesthetics of the classic 1911 look. Its unique design is based on the anthropometrics of the hand and wrist and results in significantly improved comfort, control and accuracy.
