Now you can have a high ride beavertail grip safety on your 1911 pistol without cutting the frame. This provides better control of your pistol while eliminating the discomfort and hammer bite that are possible with stock grip safeties. To return your gun to stock condition, simply re-install the factory part. The drop-in safety is designed to work with a commander style hammer or a bobbed spur hammer. Due to variations from one pistol to the next, slight modifications to the beavertails trigger engagement area may be required for proper operation.

This safety is a must for a 1911-A1. Went in with no problems, works flawlessly, and increased my overall comfort. I wasn't sure if this was the right one for my Rock Island, so I sent them a message asking if it was. I received a response extremely fast, answering more than just what I had asked. Also explained some minor fitting might be necessary. Very happy with CTD.Best place to buy.
