The Adapter and Extension Combo is a direct replacement for the standard fixed AK-type stock. With this adapter installed, the user will have five stock positions, a watertight storage compartment that is accessible from the rear and an ambidextrous single-point sling mount, located near the firearm's receiver.

Note: This kit is the adapter/extension only, stock or QD sling-swivel not included. Will fit sheet metal AKM variants only, except the Yugo or the Iraqi Tabuk. The Adapter/extension has a MilSpec outer profile and will only accept Colt or Vltor dimensioned buttstocks.

Fit my Romanian perfectly. Easy to install, only needed to Dremel the screw hole recesses on the AK for a better fit. Very sturdy and lightweight. Not sure it's worth the price, but I would definitely buy again for any future AK projects.

I have to admit that I really hesitated before buying this stock mod for the AK. There are multiple options in polymer that cost less than half the price, and they likely weigh a bit less as well. However, on receiving and inspecting this piece of equipment, I'm quite satisfied. The fit and finish is terrific, and the mounting to my rifle (a Romanian SAR-3) is rock solid, as well as very nice looking (second kind of cool). I'm also thinking now that a polymer stock mod would have made the rifle very front-end heavy. It balances very well with the VLTOR extension and a Magpul CTR stock. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the ergonomic improvement to the rifle and anticipate great durability and long life to the stock extension. Great product, highly recommended. A last note: the CAA QD mounts are very reasonably priced and work perfectly with the VLTOR extension. Also recommended!
