The TimberSmith Romanian AK-47 Wooden Stock Set is the standard in wooden rifle stocks. This master crafted set is an ideal enhancement to any Romanian AK-47 if you want to maintain its original elegance. Every set is handpicked to ensure that there is a consistent finish, front to back. The handguard is designed with a palm swell for optimum comfort and handling and has a pre-drilled hole to accommodate the cleaning rod. The pistol grip comes complete with new production grip screw, washer and bushing ensuring proper installation. The buttstock comes with a preinstalled metal buttplate and metal side sling swivel and includes all the hardware needed for installation. On top of all of these features, every piece is 100% Crafted in the U.S.A. making this set count as 3 U.S. 922r compliant parts.

I only do second reviews if I either buy another one, or if something happens that isn't good. After shooting it more, the tiny little screws that came for the wooden stock seem to not hold, and the stock gets all loose. I will try replacing the screws since the ones that came with it are really, really small. The normal Russian stock screws are fat and big so I will try to get some of those somewhere. Everything still looks good though.

I bought this for my Romanian WASR, because mine came with a Dragunov stock, and the handguards were obviously mismatched from different sets. This stuff looks great and is very nicely polished. It took maybe 10 minutes to put it all on. I had to use a Dremel slightly on the bottom handguard, but everything else just slipped together. You don't have to buy any extra parts or anything, as this comes with all the screws and handle bolt, along with the little part that goes inside the receiver for the handle bolt. I am unsure of how sturdy the wood actually is. The screws for the buttstock seem like they are pretty short, but I don't exactly imagine myself using the buttstock to smash open coconuts or something. This was definitely worth it.
