||My second Truglo TFO!!! - 8/7/2014|
|I bought my first Truglo TFO sights for my Glock 22 over a year ago and it's a heck of a lot better than the stock sights. This is my second Truglo TFO for my S&W M&P 45 compact. Both sights work great! The fiber optic works during daylight and the Tritium glows in the dark for low light situations. Heck I've had more bullseyes and better groupings at 9 to 10 yards with these sights on my M&P45 than with the stock sights . The glow in the dark feature works well for quick target acquisition in the dark and the sights don't give away your location (unless the thug is behind you... LOL!).
As far as installation, I used a C-clamp and a piece of wood to hold the slide (my son has my small table vise at his place), a metal punch and a screw driver (wrapped with electric tape at the tips to avoid messing up the sights) and voila!!! If you're in doubt but don't want to pay extra for installation, there are good YouTube tips to install these sights. Make sure to remove the rear sight from LEFT TO RIGHT and install the opposite. Watch out for the spring and cap under the sight as it may come popping out. I used a bore sight to align the sights. Haven't had any problems with these night sights. Can't beat that for the price. And yes, CTD has better/lower price than anywhere else. Thanks CTD!|
