4.0 Rating M&P Shield .40 - 2/17/2014

I fired my new M&P Shield .40 this weekend, put about 175 rounds through it and love it. I really like the slim design for a concealed carry, the accuracy was great and overall impressed with this pistol. Magazines were a litte tight to load but hoepfully over time that wont be a factor.

5.0 Rating excellent - 3/2/2014

I'm really happy with my M&P 40 Shield. I specifically wanted a thin, lighter, larger-caliber ITW pistol, and this is perfect. It has worked perfectly and is very comfortable to fire. The magazines are tough to load, but I usually have gloves on at the range so that makes it easier. I bought the DeSantis Tuck This II ITW holster and they work well together. Looking forward to putting many more rounds through this thing.

4.0 Rating Love It - 3/18/2014

I really like my Shield! I am a female who wanted a small gun with a punch. I bought the .40. It is very accurate. The gun was very dry when it came. I had to lubricate it right away. The recoil is manageable for a smaller person. It fits wonderful in my hand. CTD was amazing with the processing and shipping of the gun. I was impressed. I got it the same week I ordered it.

5.0 Rating Good Things Come in Small Packages - 4/20/2014

I'll be honest, I would not have purchased this handgun if there were extra magazines available out there for the Taurus PT740. I also wish I had sprung for the extra $55 first time around and gotten the Shield .40 instead. What I really like about the Shield is the 7 round extended magazine - which I have 5 of; no need for Pearce extenders here. The 7 round extended grip is a perfect fit for my 3/4 size hands. Also, I would say to my fellow raters, "give up the load-by-hand hassle and buy a LULA speed loader." This single stack .40 is an excellent choice of IWB holsters too. Finally, kudos to CTD for their speedy delivery to my local FFL.
