Feels like plastic almost, but functions well and simply looks cool. Easy to install WITHOUT removing your AR barrel. Learned on youtube. Installed this one on my DPMS and the 'zombie' one on my wife's DPMS. Sorry if i dont use the correct part-names. Work slowly, pay attention, and you wont lose the small "c-pin" or lose an eye from the port cover spring.

As far as the cover itself, it's kind of cheap quality. But it still does what it's supposed to. It took me 10 minutes to install, most of which was spent figuring out how the spring went back on. It adds a nice touch, and the price is right.

I wanted to spice up my SR556 (6.8) with something cool and this dust cover did a good job. The color is white and it's not very bright, which I kinda like. Easy to install if you know your springs.
