It is a harsh reality: when financial hardships are felt, crime goes up. It is more important today than it ever was to be prepared to defend yourself and your loved ones. One of the companies you should be exploring is SIG Sauer. SIG Sauer is the manufacturer of outstanding firearms built to withstand the rigors of combat and duty use. With SIG Sauer's P229 being used by specialized military units and law enforcement agencies, their SIG 1911's and ever increasing line of concealed carry guns like their SIG P238 and SIG P938, SIG Sauer has the perfect firearm to match up with your need. SIG Sauer uses only the finest quality components for a firearm that is utterly reliable and ruggedly dependable to keep you and your loved ones safe in any environmental condition.

The SIG Sauer SP2022 is the latest version of our popular polymer framed pistol and features a durable, lightweight and wear-resistant polymer frame with the added tactical versatility of an integrated accessory rail. The slide is machined from a solid block of stainless steel and protected by SIG's black Nitron finish. The SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. It also features the SIG SAUER four-point safety system. The SIG SAUER polymer framed pistols has earned an enviable reputation and proven track record of reliable performance in the hands of law enforcement professionals. In December of 2004 the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command at the Rock Island Arsenal awarded SIG SAUER a contract for 5,000 SIG SAUER SP2022 pistols chambered in 9mm Luger.

4.0 Rating very nice - 2/2/2012

I got mine last Friday, on January 27, went to range the following day, and shot about 150 rounds. This gun is very accurate and I like the night sights. My only complaint in the magazine. The spring is so stiff and the fit and finish is not as good as HK or Beretta.

5.0 Rating Sig Polymer w/ No Compromise! - 1/7/2012
Reviewer: Bushpilot
This is a beautiful gun with with traditional Sig quality and reliability at a very nice weight savings, and fantastic price. I'm amazed that it's not caught on like other polymer lines like Glock, et al. Sig makes some of the best guns but like lots of German/Swiss companies they are lousy at marketing. If it wasn't for their "Navy Seal" connection despite their quality they'd have a much smaller market share than they deserve to have. This gun is a good example. I actually had several gun shops trying to talk me out of this gun just because they had no experience/knowledge with it. This thing shoots as accurately as any 9mm I've handled. No jams, stovepipes, or ejection problems with cheap range rounds. Only sightly more difficult to break down to clean than a Sig 226 or a Beretta but once you get the hang of it, it's Okay. My wife loves the way it shoots and handles better than a Sig 226, Springfield XDM, Beretta 92, or Glock 19/17 Gen 4, and best of all it's better priced by at least $100 or more than any of these guns. Bought the 17 round Mec-Gar magazine and it works like it came with the gun and with no negative effect on the grip feel. I've not changed the grips because I like the feel but that's a nice option to compete with Glock Gen 4 and the XDM offering. I my biggest complaint is that Sig just doesn't seem to really support this gun with accessories or even must information on its web-site. They have a jewel they don't even know about. It comes with a Pictinney rail for accessories: a must for a full duty pistol. The Sig nite sites are easy to find in the dark. In my opinion the best 9mm full service semi-automatic for the money out there!
