I bought this as a training tool. I wanted to practice the DA/SA trigger on my duty weapon, but the price of ammo is ridiculous. I bought this from CTD and I could not be happier. It functions with all different types of high velocity ammo. It is accurate and it is as reliable as rimfire cartridges can be. Furthermore, I didn't have to touch the adjustable sights, as they were already right on target. However, there are a few things prospective buyers should know. As a LEO, I wanted to practice drawing from my holster and firing. The slide assembly of this kit is actually almost a full half inch longer than the original slide assembly. This means it does not fit in most duty holsters designed for the P229. It definitely did not fit in my Safariland 070. Lastly, as many reviews online state, the slide does not lock open on the last round. The magazine does not catch the slide. I have yet to figure out why and to address it, but it simply won't. For the price, service, and lower cost of shooting; this is a great kit.
