Product worked. Took a lot of filing on my 870 to get the dimples away. Highly recommend a Dremel tool, which I didn't have. Only complaint about the product is that the coupling was kind of small around my bigger aftermarket barrel, and the screw that closes the coupling was too short. I can go to the hardware store and probably find one.

This extension was factory made at Remington Arms Co. and fits like a glove as well as looks great. I did not realize that my 870's mag tube had the dimples at the end made for the spring retainer, so I dremeled them out fairly easily and will touch up with some cold blue. It feeds like a champ and didn't make any marks on the exterior. I will touch up the bare spots on the inside up with some cold blue to make it look like it was never there. I would check to see if your tube has the dimples and then decide if you want to do any work on your gun. The box it comes with says to either push the dimples out via hammer or hand file them down. The dremel works like a dream and so does the extension. Five bullets.

After arriving and I anxiously ready to put it on the extension was very poorly parkerized. It was a mix between black and gray. Also the barrel to mag holder was missing its bold. I have sent it back for an exchange. Another review will be made pending a different extension.
