Pearce Plus Grip Extension, Springfield XD Compact, Black.

These units replace the magazine floor plate and internal floor plate on the 9mm (13 round only), .40 S&W, .357 SIG and the .45 GAP. These units will add approximately 1 inch in length . NOTE: These extensions will not work with the 10 round 9mm magazines nor the XDM frame.

I purchased four of these extensions for the 13 rd magazines, and I've been unable to fit any additional rounds into the 13 rd magazines. I contacted Pearce Grip customer service, and they informed me that newly manufactured XD's and magazines have a slightly altered follower, which is hanging up within the magazine once the PGXD+ is attached. The follower is binding on the locking cup of the PGXD+. Pearce Grip has developed a modification to the locking cup to solve this issue, or as mentioned by other reviews, you can modify the following cup on your own.

I purchased four of these mag extensions for the 13 rd mags(made sure I ordered the correct ones) and installing them was a bit tricky. I was concerned they weren't the correct ones as the base plate that fits inside the grip extension doesn't seat easily into the extension when installed onto the magazine. I have not been able to fit more than 13 rds into these now "extended" magazines. I'm not ruling out that the spring or base plate is not hanging up inside the magazine, but considering myself a fairly bright person with a Marine Corps infantry background with weapons familiarity, I still can't get these magazines to accept any additional rounds over the original 13. If you know what I'm doing wrong, or have any advice for this issue, please post here and let us know. I would have given the PGXD+ a three bullet rating but now I see the price has gone down for these grips since I bought them a couple months ago. If they didn't feel amazing, I would give them 1 bullet. I recommend the regular Pearce Grip extension for the XD 9mm, as those are amazing, and easy to install. Until someone can show me how to get these extensions to accept the 2 extra rounds as advertised, I'll continue to be disappointed with them.

Couldn't give it 5 stars because the base plate has to be modified to work, it has to be cut down as it is in the way of the grip extension sliding on mag. Other than that feels good and adds about 2 round to capacity.
