I have used night sights for years as a police officer and SWAT team member. I believe that night sights are as necessary and the ammo in the gun (my personal thoughts of course). I originally ordered the "AmeriGlo" Trijicon night sights, but once I had them installed on my Glock, I was not at all satisfied with the level of brightness. After doing more research, I sent them back and exchanged them for these night sights. What a difference! Now this is what I'm used to. A sight you can actually see in dimly lit areas when there is still other light present. Keep in mind, usually when a weapon is used at night, it is NOT in complete darkness. You have to be able to see and identify your target, so there has to be some light available, and you want your night sights to perform at their peak level during this time. Bottom line: if you want bright night sights - as bright as the law enforcement and tactical night sights - go with the Meprolight Tru-Dot Night Sights. They even work great during the day. Even though the picture doesn't show it, the sights do have a white ring around the tritium, making daylight shooting easier in my opinion! You won't be disappointed with these sights!
