Developed from the operational experience of the Magpul Dynamics team, the B.A.D. Lever (Battery Assist Device) is designed to considerably improve the speed and efficiency of the AR15/M16 bolt catch. The B.A.D. Lever quickly addresses reloading and malfunction clearance shortcomings of AR15/M16 platforms by extending a paddle to the right side of the weapon, allowing manipulation of the bolt stop from the fire control/ready position with the right-hand trigger finger.

Made from milspec-anodized aluminum, the B.A.D. Lever attaches to the standard AR15/M16 bolt release without permanent modification to the weapon. Functional for both left and right-handed shooters, the B.A.D. Lever also allows traditional bolt catch manipulation according to the AR15/M16 manual of arms. All mounting hardware included.

I received my B.A.D lever about a week ago. It was easy to install and fits perfect no problems with it being hit by my trigger finger... Being an avid shooter it's nice to have more control of your AR with one hand the B.A.D lever is a gem.

Works great, fits well without any modifications, and makes for a faster reload without having to lose position and engage the bolt. Also, if you need to put the bolt in the open position, you just push up while pulling the charging handle back. Very good accessory.

I purchased one of these to use for the duration of a tour a couple years ago. It followed me on a second tour, where I managed to break it on a patrol. I purchased this one for a RRA LAR-PDS because it was difficult to lock the bolt to the rear. It solved having to place the buttstock on my thigh, pulling the charging handle back with my right hand (shooting hand) and locking it open with my left. Now I can easily manipulate the bolt release with my shooting hand and the charging handle with my off hand and not have to take my shooting hand off the weapon.

If you only buy one thing for your AR, this should be it. Best upgrade for the weapon, hands down. Makes the manual of arms for tac and speed reloading twice as fast. Clearing the weapon is much easier, too, without the need for the cripple grip to hold the catch with one hand while switching to another to pull back the charging handle. Why didn't someone think of this a long time ago?

DON'T waste your time with this item. I installed it on my SIG M4, does not work well, has a hard time catching the bolt, and will release the bolt just by looking at it.

This is a terrific mod for your AR. Easily gets 6 bullets. Such a simple design to make a drastic improvement. By not having to ever take your hand/finger off the shooting mechanism, you save important time, and it looks BAD A**.

Smart little gadget makes opening and closing your bolt a one handed task. You can keep your hand on your pistol grip while pinning the bolt to rear or releasing, allowing you to stay on target. Great for drill shooters that need that extra second shaved off. This lever will seem to rattle a bit after you install the one bolt it uses, but fear not, that rattle is just your bolt catch/release in your weapon.

Nice light weight but heavy gauge metal construction. Simple and intuitive design and function. This makes it a lot easier to lock the bolt back when trying to clear a malfunction. One problem potential buyers should be aware of. This does NOT fit my POF p308 for which it was bought. Remember, there is no such thing as a mil spec/standard AR-10 rifle, so they're all going to be a bit different. This does fit excellent on my Olympic Arms AR-15 though.

This B.A.D. lever solves one of the only operational/user issues with AR style rifles... clearing malfunctions, It is no longer a pain to clear a double feed or any other type of malfunction. You no longer have to change hand position or drop the rifle from your shoulder and put it up against your leg to lock the bolt back. Super light and is worth its weight in gold for a serious tactical shooter.

Bought the Magpul B.A.D. lever about two months ago, the install was too easy. I fell in love with this little thing, makes getting back on target faster from a reload. A must have for law enforcement or other serious shooters.

What I like the most about the B.A.D. lever, is that it is intuitive. It seems like to me, that it should be standard equipment on any AR platform. I have two of them.

I bought this to try when I got into AR's. I wasn't really into reaching over to hit the bolt release. I think it's just me cause I'm left handed but shoot right handed. Anyhow it's made with quality and I'd give it 5 bullets if the price were lower. Not CTD's problem but it's kinda pricy for what it is. Either way if ya got a couple bucks to blow try it out. I bought a second for another rifle.

I gave it 3 bullets not because there is anything wrong with it, but because it doesn't fit on my sig 516 or bushmaster 9mm. It is a really good lightweight product. If I can't sell it to anyone I will be trying some refabs on it to see if I can rig it together.

Absolutely the best add-on to any AR-15. You are able to clear the weapon faster without changing your grip, and also improving tactical reloading time with the flip of your trigger finger.
