The Magpul MOE Hand Guard for AR15/M16 rifles with Mid Length 'direct impingement' or external-piston gas systems combines the light weight of a standard hand guard with modular flexibility. Slots at the two, six, and ten o'clock positions allow for optional mounting of Picatinny rail sections for tactical lights and other accessories. Reinforced, heat-resistant polymer construction provides operational durability without the weight and expense of an aluminum rail hand guard. Front extensions and lower lip provides additional operator protection from hot front sight assembly. Fits round and triangular handguard caps.

Put this on my mid length BCM upper. Fits very solidly and is very comfortable. Not sure if I would mount sights or optics to it but definitely solid enough for mounting rails or accessories.

The handguard feels great. It's a little wide for those of you with smaller hands. Anyone under 6 feet might not appreciate how much wider it is and it being triangular helps. However, with the rails and rail covers, this grip gets too bulky for a lot of my friends who tried it. The cons? It's super damn tight to put on, almost like the guard is going to snap on you. Took two men to attach it the first time. The plastic seems to be larger or too thick to fit inside the weapon's slip ring. However, once in, it's rock solid. I gave it 4 bullets since it did not fit my mid length rifle and it was very rough to work with. But, it's a solid handguard.

Very nice hand guard. I also picked up some of the magpul rails too and it works great! Another great product from magpul.
