The patent-pending Magpul ACS (Adaptable Carbine/Storage) – Mil-Spec Model is a drop-in replacement butt-stock for AR15/M16 carbines using mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. A streamlined, anti-snag profile shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation and the extra-power lock mechanism uses a premium chrome-silicon spring to avert auto-collapse failure by resisting spring relaxation. Similar to the Magpul CTR™, the ACS also features a supplemental friction lock system that minimizes wobble* for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy. Dual, rear accessible, water-resistant battery storage tubes and an integral storage compartment in the butt of the stock provides multiple storage options. The ACS comes standard with a 0.30" thick rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

For the few extra bucks, I found this stock to be well worth it. The fit is exceptionally good, very high quality, and I really like the way it looks on my rifle. Add a couple of steel rods into the battery compartments and the rifle becomes perfectly balanced. Good job, MAGPUL, again!

I bought this stock to replace the one that came with my ArmaLite M-15. This stock has held up to all my expectations and it looks great! It was super easy to install and fits perfectly. Definitely would recommend this stock to anyone looking for a functional stock. Magpul is the way to go and CTD shipping is excellent!

Be cautious when buying this stock! Make sure you know which buffer tube you have (Commercial or Mil. Spec.), or you'll find out the hard way, like I did. From the looks of it though, it's a great stock.
