The Magpul CTR (Compact/Type Restricted) – Mil-Spec Model is a drop-in replacement butt stock for AR15/M16 carbines using mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. Designed for light, fast action the streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation. The extra-power lock mechanism uses a premium chrome-silicon spring to avert auto-collapse failure and maintains strength by resisting spring relaxation. The CTR also features a supplemental friction lock system that minimizes wobble* for enhanced weapon stability and accuracy. The Mil-Spec Model includes a standard 0.30" rubber butt-pad which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.

Honestly, this is the best stock ever! I have an S&W m&p 15 sport 5.56 and this thing fits like a glove! The friction lock leaves the stock with absolutely no wobble! Its much more comfortable than the factory stock too. I would reccomend this to anyone who's looking to buy one! You won't be dissapointed!

What can I say?! Two day shipping at ground price on all orders. This stock fit quickly and easily on to existing buffer tube on my Spike's Tactical lower. Locks into place, as it should, and holds tight. Can't believe I didn't buy this sooner. Buttstock pad is also nice and conforms to shoulder, whether low sighting or raised sighting. Can't wait to put this buttstock through its paces. If you are on the fence with this, buy it and don't look back.

This stock is great and goes on easily. It locks in and does make it wobble-free. Great price. I couldn't find it anywhere else for anything close to this price.

Great upgrade from a Plain Jane stock. Fits great when locked, easy to install, and not heavy or bulky. All around a great stock. I also added the .70 enhanced recoil pad. For tall guys and Amazonian women, it's great having that extra length of pull (LOP). I would recommend this stock all day long. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TO SEE WHAT RECEIVER EXTENSION YOU HAVE! Then you'll be able to pick the correct size (mil-spec or commercial).

This is a great stock. Installed on my CMMG in two seconds flat! The price was way lower than what I would have paid at the gunshop down the road! The only thing was the shipping but that's with every online order you make. Keep up the great work, Magpul and CTD!

This is the stock I've been waiting for. All of the others have a bad rattle to them. I tried every trick in the book; example heating the stock up while in a vice using a torch. No luck. When silence is key the CTR is a must. Not only does this CTR stock have a killer look, but the friction lock really does it's job. I can't say enough about Magpul, they are a great company with wonderful high quality parts. CTD has the best prices anywhere for the CTR hands down & their shipping is blazing fast. I've never waited more than two days for my order. I just ordered another 10 Pmags today! CTD is alway my first choice, hell there my only choice!

I really like the design. It's not super heavy or bulky and it is about half the price of other options of this caliber. I do have to say... Why are carbine stocks so darn expensive to begin with? Depending on the option you go with you can pay from $50 to $300 for an upgraded stock. Give me a break. But for the this being at the lower end of the spectrum of upgraded stocks I like it a lot. I also like the friction lock. It's design for unlocking is perfect and it really works. Is it necessary? well that is subjective. I know that when doing full auto/rapid fire anything you can stop from wiggling around helps improve follow up shots. Recommended!
