All of SGM Tactical's mags are engineered through CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems and manufactured to SAE standards in an ISO 9001:2000 approved manufacturing facility right here in the USA. Their injection molds are cut from P20 pre-hardened tooling steel and their retractable cores are cut from S-7 heat treated steel. This gives them absolute accuracy of all mag components for years to come.

The Dupont composite/glass-filled polymer was specifically chosen to provide an extremely durable, internally slick, fast feeding mag that will provide years of service. The springs are slightly longer to provide a more uniform pressure and are specially coated to provide smoother action along with resisting moisture.

All of the mag designs are tested for perfect fit, smooth, fast, reliable feeding and durability. Continuous smooth feeding is mandatory; therefore, they tested the mags with a variety of ammo from various manufacturers.

Each mag is sealed in a 4 mil plastic sleeve with mag warranty information enclosed. SGM Tactical Tech Support and/or five year free replacement policy is one of the best. This is a once-sold-forget-it item for the dealer. SGM handles everything after the sale on the rare occasion that there should be a manufacturing defect.

The price was average for this mag, but overall I would go with the cheap ProMag Saiga .308 mags. The problems I have with this mag are that the ledges on the mag (for coupling with 2nd mag) catch on everything when it is pulled out of a pouch containing other mags. The ledges provide a way to pull, but the mag is smooth otherwise, so you may slip up and drop the mag entirely. Maybe it's just preference, but I do not like this mag. Reliability was equal to ProMag. Zero malfunctions after 60 rounds and counting.
