The SureFire high capacity magazine for 5.56x45 mm (.223 Remington) ammunition is compatible with M-4, M-16 and AR15 variants and other firearms that accept STANAG 4179 (standard M16) magazines. Constructed from Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum, they feed smoothly and reliably due to optimal geometry, non-binding coil springs, and ingenious nesting polymer followers. The long-lasting springs are cadmium coated for low friction and excellent corrosion resistance. Magazines require no lubricants and can be easily disassembled without tools for cleaning.

SureFire High capacity magazines provide distinct tactical advantages: increased initial firepower in ambush situations; fewer reloads overall, which means less downtime and target distraction in a firefight; fast and easy magazine insertion, even with a closed bolt; less bulk compared to drum mags, enabling a normal weapon grip.

The SureFire 60 round magazine is slightly thinner than two 30 round magazines clipped together and is about the same overall length. The SureFire 60 round magazine fits in most dual magazine pouches, eliminating special carry pouches required for drum magazines.

4.0 Rating Good - 3/31/2012

At first, I loaded 20 rounds and thought I hit a dead end. I unloaded the mag and used some gun oil on the spring, reloaded, and all 60 went fine. I noticed that every 20th round is hard to put it. It keeps the tension, so it's cool. The 21st round will feel like the 1st and so will the 41st. Almost like every 20 rounds the tension resets. It is a little snug in my M16, but it seats with a tiny bit of wobble. The high capacity makes up for the wobble. It is heavy duty as well.

1.0 Rating POS - 5/17/2012

I think the spring isn't strong enough, jams on every shot. I don't know enough to try and fix it or anything, but it is a POS. Doesn't feed at all.

4.0 Rating Nice - 5/23/2012

Very nice mag. Loads all 60 rounds well and fits in the mag well of my Bushy. It is a little longer than a standard 30 round mag. Haven't shot yet, but will follow up afterward. Four bullets at this point for the preliminary tests. The concept behind this magazine is brilliant!

5.0 Rating The Best - 11/9/2012
Reviewer: Mhykael
Got this for fun. Unloaded with zero problems on the first try. Have emptied 300 rounds thru it now with zero issues. For the person below having an issue, you may want to take a hard long look at your rifle/ammo combination. If you are stove piping, it's definitely your rifle, and if you are double feeding, it could be the magazine, but may also be your gun cycling error with difficult ammunition, especially if you have a barrel under 20" (Wolf ammo as an example). Also, be wary of oiling or greasing your mags as others have suggested. Oil attracts dirt. If they can't run clean and dry, there is a problem. I like this mag so much, I bought two more. The only con I have is I go thru a ton of ammo very quickly now :P

4.0 Rating Almost Perfect - 1/12/2013
Reviewer: Kimber 1911
I've put hundreds of rounds through this mag with zero failures. I keep it fully loaded, as it's my go-to mag and the spring doesn't seem to lose it's tension. My only complaint? The rounds are loose inside, even when fully loaded, so the mag rattles.
