The mag worked perfectly. I had to spend 30 seconds with a file so the tab would lock into the latch. With all the variants out on the market, it is expected. 5 bullets for function.

Ordered a couple of these for my AK-47. Like other reviewers, I too had to file down the catch on the backside of the mags. Otherwise they wouldn't lock in place. It was pretty simple, 5 minutes each mag. There are actually faint lines showing where to file down to. No issues so far. These mags seem well made, and I am very happy, especially considering the low price. I'd buy them again.

I ordered 4 of these mags. None of them would fit in my saiga. Then I grinded the back tab a little and it fixed the problem. The mag functions perfectly. I would recommend this product.

ProMag inadvertently produced a winner in this magazine. Apparently patterned after the Chinese 223 mags, it fits & functions very well in Saiga rifles WITHOUT a bullet guide. The only gripe I have is the flimsy rear mag catch tab.

Bought two of these because of the price for my WASR-3. Like many other mags for this paticular weapon I had trouble feeding. I had to file down the catch to fit my WASR-3. Once I did that, I have had little trouble with my WASR-3. Just takes some work. I called promag before I filed them down to see if they were defective and they are intentionally made that way just need to be filed down. The rep told me that they would send new ones that were made to fit from factory if I wanted them. Promag was very helpful. The ones I ordered from cheaper than dirt were the older ones not the ones made to fit and I placed my order at the end of 2011.
