4.0 Rating Excellent weapon - 3/11/2014
Reviewer: P Becker
I grew up on the Marlin 60, plinking and hunting small game in my free time. The model itself is an excellent weapon; the only jams I've had on a Marlin 60 I'm certain were due to bulk ammo, not the weapon itself. I would give five stars, but I have a small complaint. Obviously, with the SS version, you pay a bit more to have a nice looking gun. Well, the stock on mine had a few places where the laminated part had chipped away when I got it NIB from my FFL. It isn't noticeable from afar, but up close you can tell. I like the non-blued receiver and barrel, as they are easier to clean imho. I also like the sights and the sling studs included. However, if I were to purchase one again, I would probably go with the 60SN model with an attached scope. That's just my two cents, but overall it's a nice gun and fun and cheap to shoot.
