3.0 Rating Needs better instructions - 11/30/2011
Reviewer: Jerry
Laser does what they claim it will electronically. However, could not get it to adjust high enough with it mounted on the bottom rail of my Sig 522. It would run out of adjustment, i.e. the adjustment screw would come out before POA reached POI. I mounted it on the right side rail and finally got it to zero. By the hardest! I did an Internet search to find out if perhaps I was doing something wrong. The included Instructions are very simple but not much help. I found, CartechO blog of shooting tips http://carteach0.blogspot.com/2011/02/test-and-review-laserlyte-fsl-3.html . He tested this laser. Carteach also had trouble adjusting the laser as was ready to packet it up and send it back. According to Carteadh Laserlyte told him to “back the adjustment screws all the way out to their limit and let the laser rest in a “warm” place for and hour or so then try adjusting it again.” He seems to understand why this would work but doesn’t explain it. Carteach states that he did so and that solved the problem. After reading that, I went to the Laserlyte site, filled out their contact form explaining the problem and inquiring about “warming” up the laser. I requested a telephone call. I did this on a Saturday night. Wednesday afternoon I received a telephone call from a young lady with Laserlyte. She explained that she had sent a detailed E-mail but was telephoning as I had requested. I asked about warming the laser up. She said that that was a misrepresentation. It didn’t need to be warmed just left to sit at “room” temp for an hour or so. Back the ajustment screws out to their limit. Allow the laser to “reset” at room temp for an hour or so then adjust. Always end ajustments on a clockwise turning adjustment. It worked! Would have saved a lot of time and confusion if that had been stated in the instructions

4.0 Rating Update! - 12/11/2011
Reviewer: Jerry
I’ve increased my satisfaction level to 4 because of the response I received from LaserLyte. At the range, after three times of letting the laser rest for more than an hour with the adjustment screws backed all the way out I could not get POA to = POI. POI was 2” high 3” left of dot. The laser again ran out of adjustment. I telephoned Laserlyte. After a brief explanation of the problem I was sent a new one no questions asked, with prepaid return package for the defective one. The replacement performs as advertised. While I was disappointed that the first one was defective I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. They also threw in a dozen batteries, in addition to the 4 extra that come packaged with the laser, “free” of charge.

4.0 Rating Great customer service - 7/13/2012

Could not get unit to adjust. Called customer service and they e-mailed additional instructions that didn't help. I called back and they sent me a unit which was hand tested by customer service. Also sent pre-paid envelope for return of original unit. Haven"t seen courtesy like this in a long time.

4.0 Rating much better - 8/28/2012
Reviewer: Dave B
After returning the junk I was shipped before, the new one was a breath of fresh air. It had all the correct tools and the batteries were not dead like the last one. One thing that still bothered me was the lack of adjustment range..Otherwise it's a NICE laser! Thanks CTD for being customer friendly..I will buy from you again.
