See previous post for initial information. After receiving the replacement gun after a six week waiting period from GAMO warranty department, I discovered scratches on the receiver and surface rust on the barrel and receiver. This lead me to believe they had replaced my faulty new gun with a reconditioned gun. When I sent GAMO pictures of my concerns, they paid for shipping back to them. After another eight week waiting period (they claimed busy season), I received a brand new, in-the-box gun, which looks and operates like a new gun should. I am very happy with the third gun and would recommend this brand for its quality. I cannot give 5 bullets, simply for the slow service of the warranty claims department at GAMO. This entire process took from August to December. But, even though it was slow, GAMO provided the service that a $200+ gun should have. I am completely satisfied.

I chose this model for the iron sights, .22 caliber and the Inert Gas Technology - commonly known as the Nitro Piston by other manufacturers. CTD provided excellent packaging and shipping and the box arrived in good condition. I was impressed with the fit and finish of the gun. The scope provides an excellent filed of view and works well in various lighting conditions. The big let down was when I first fired the gun. The group was tight, but about three feet off center at 10 meters. I was able to get the group on target after adjusting the iron sights' windage to its full limits. After contacting GAMO, I sent the gun to their warranty repair facility in Houston, Missouri. They confirmed that they received the gun 14 days ago, and are predicting 4-6 weeks for processing the gun through their warranty system. I expressed my belief that products that are faulty right out of the box should be replaced quickly, not put in a 6 week repair line behind other guns that have been in service already. Since this is the only facility in the United States, there are no options. I purchased this gun to help Boy Scouts earn their merit badge. The shooting event has come and gone, and I am still waiting for a gun. I hope that the end of this experience will be a nice shooting, reliable gun. And the many years of service I expect out of an expensive gun will erase the bad start.

Chose this model mainly for its quietness and iron sights. Grouping was good right out of box. Scope needed shimming but is dead on now. Just dispatched a squirrel 30 ft up in a tree, 50 yds out. I love it.
