This safe is better than most. Pros: 14 Gauge Steel Walls, Electronically Controlled Bolt, Can be Alarmed, Batteries and 4 keys supplied. Cons: KEY NUMBER CLEARLY VISIBLE on outside of lock (just jot it down and order a set of keys), does not lock securely to base (I did not use base supplied, bolted it to shelf and wall studs), Center shelf useless, Barely large enough for large revolver with 6 inch barrel, Exposed hinge allowing for possible forced entry, top rubber pad with push buttons and 12-volt adapter port may also pose vulnerabilities. Better than nothing, but of limited security value.
