Ignitor Knife -
The knife is the Ignitor Knife that features a 3.38" modified drop point blade made of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel, .11" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-59. The blade of this knife has a high hollow grind, a polished finish, OutBurst Assist and thumb stud with FireSafe mechanism for one hand opening. The black and green G-10 handle, 4.25" closed, is textured for secure grip, and comes with polished stainless steel liners and a liner lock. A removable stainless steel pocket clip is included with this knife.

Drop Point Blade -
This blade has a gentle, sloping convex curve to the point versus the concave curve of the clip blade. Being thicker, this blade point is stronger for heavier tasks. It stands up to abuse well, but isn't as effective for easy penetration.

8Cr14MoV -
Chinese steel with similar performance characteristics to AUS 8. An excellent value priced steel for its performance.

OutBurst™ -
Assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.

Zytel -
A glass filled nylon material used in making handles for knives. DuPont trademark.

Hollow Ground -
The ground surface of the blade is concave and used to create a fine cutting edge.

G-10 Laminate -
The TUFNOL range of high quality epoxy resin bonded glass fabric laminates offer very high mechanical strength and low moisture absorption, combined with excellent electrical properties, under both dry and humid conditions. They are rigid materials with good dimensional stability and good resistance to a wide range of working environments.
