I bought this for an AR but it is clear to me that it is for a pistol, due to its size and construction. I put it on my Glock 23 just to test it out and didn't like it there either, because it seemed a little too fragile to be trusted. My main complaint is that the elevation adjustment didn't work. It adjusts with a provided Allen wrench, but there didn't seem to be a socket anywhere in the little hole the elevation was suppose to be at. Not what I expected from a Crimson Trace product.
