CMMG drop in .22 conversion kit with CMMG full body magazine. This model is semi automatic only.

All CMMG .22 LR magazines have a bolt hold open follower. When using the bolt hold open follower, magazine will only hold 26 rounds. For best performance use a rounded style hammer, notched hammers can cause function issues. 36 grain bullets have proven to be the best choice for function. The PRI Gas Buster charging handle will not work with our .22 Conversion kit.

Note: For Direct Gas Impingement AR-15's. Not compatible with Gas Piston Systems without removing the piston. Only for use in 5.56 NATO chambered AR-15 rifles.

Set up is less than 30 seconds. Ammo is 1/10 of the price of 5.56 ammo, so a significant savings to you.

I bought this so I could shoot more from my ARs without breaking the bank. Unlike the non-stainless models, this one may be a tight fit on brands like Olympic Arms. I have to tap it in a bit and it gouges the brass lug fitting some. No harm to lugs, as they are steel. It fits fine in my wife's M&P15, my Spike's Tactical, my Colt, and my Bushmaster. Some accuracy may be lost, but not every shot. .22s from a regular AR barrel with a 1:7 to 1:9 twist rate spin too fast for perfect accuracy. That's why .22 dedicated barrels are usually 1:16 twist. Most of us know this, some don't, so be patient. I am able to shoot three shot groups for sight and scope adjustments. It's good for what it does without using a dedicated upper. I use it for different sight and scope combos, and trying various techniques. When I'm happy with the adjustments I've made, I switch to 5.56 for a final check and sometimes adjustment. It will fail to eject brass sometimes, or have a non-fire, but at 4 cents a shot, does it really matter? Easy to install - remove regular bolt and put this one in, load mag with .22 shells, and you're shooting. I bought the cheaper one, also. It fits the Olympic Arms with no effort. Haven't fired it yet, though. Nothing gets 5 bullets unless it's perfect and whispers in my ear. Overall, good product and easy to use and clean.
