5.0 Rating Quality Mags - 6/29/2011

I have several of these shooting stars magazines. Use them in my SA Loaded and my Ruger SR1911 with no problems. They are very plain in appearance but get the job done with no hiccups. If you want to really have fun buy some of the CM 10 round mags. The first time you keep on shooting a standard 1911 past the 8th round it is a bit unusual...but great.

5.0 Rating great - 9/24/2011

I just received three of these magazines for use in my Auto Ordinance 1911 and I am very happy. I am a hand loader and tried many different loads in these magazines. They all worked perfectly. I also had a box of nonconforming loads from when I was setting up my Lee reloading press....some .010" long and some .010 short that I tried. They all fed flawlessly......even with dented cases. Do yourself a big favor and buy Chip's magazines rather than any other ones. They work fantastic and I have them in my home defense gun with no worries about them functioning properly, I will only buy Chip's magazines from now on. The price is right and they work great with everything I put in them.

1.0 Rating Order one and make sure it works first!!!!!!!! - 11/23/2011

I just received three of these mags. All failed to feed into my Springfield 1911 model A1. I would not recommend these to any one despite the good reviews, the follower has a lot of back and forth play and does not push the round up correctly. Also If you want to return them to CTD they will not reimburse you for the initial shipping cost (20.95$). CTD disappointed me on this one.

1.0 Rating cheap crap - 1/25/2012

Got 4 of these today, the follower is not well retained, one had fallen apart in the packaging. The finish is very poor. Put some PD rounds in it, 3 of them didn't feed in my Kimber and it'll eat anything from the stock and other mags. Can't even imagine how the picky Remington R1 would handle them (it's in the shop for some tuning.) Returning these, ain't even going to mess with them.

4.0 Rating Great mags, great price - 6/18/2012
Reviewer: Alexander Henry
I have a Remington R1 1911. Ordered three today after searching for a less expensive alternative to a $30+ 8 round mag. They look like the GI mags, which is fine with me. Fit the mag well nicely - not too tight, but not rattling around. No issues whatsoever. Slide always locks back and it feeds flawlessly. For the money, these are a really good buy. Only gets 4 bullets because the holes aren't numbered and the mag has no markings on it.
