I really love this forend. It did not require any sort of gunsmithing. If you just search how to disassemble a Mossberg 500, then you'll be fine. Or buy the forend removal tool and all you do is remove the barrel and the forend is ready to be removed. Certain 500s might be different, but a tactical one or one with a castle nut will work.
