This is a superb full-grain thick leather holster that fit my S&W 627 (four inch barrel) perfectly. As stated in the copy, it is molded to fit precisely and protrudes to protect the rear site. The trigger is exposed; however, as long as the thumbsnap is closed, there is no way for the revolver to fire as it fits tightly over the hammer. There's no fancy scrollwork, just a great holster. If you want a good solid leather high-ride, close-to-the-body holster, I don't see how you can be disappointed with this product.
