I am an instructor, and I own dozens of these for various models of Glocks, 1911s, Berettas, and more. I personally use them for plinking, training, concealed carry, hunting, and even competition occasionally. I also use them to train (advanced) shooters on proper draw and holster tactics. Blackhawk has a winner with this line of holster. No other rig allows for such a fast and smooth draw with the same level of retention and security. Be aware that if you or your shooter do not have a solid grasp of basic holster technique and safety, this style of holster can place the trigger finger VERY close to the trigger. This is NOT a SERPA holster issue ... this is a TRAINING issue. As with ANY holster, improper finger placement during re-holstering will end very badly!
