The APEX 45 Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit (DCAEK) was designed to provide the Smith & Wesson M&P 45 pistol owner a smooth, consistent 5 - 5.5 lb trigger pull with the advantages of shorter over-travel and reduced reset.

The kit includes:
APEX Hard Sear FOR .45 ACP
APEX M&P Ultimate Striker Block Kit (USB kit)
APEX M&P Increased Rate Sear Spring** & Trigger Return Spring (aluminum slave pin included)

**Two sear springs of different sizes are included with kit. Use the one that fits your M&P.

All of the components work together to provide a pull weight within the acceptable range for a top end service pistol. The kit itself is engineered to be drop-in and should require NO further gunsmithing (however, armorer or gunsmith installation is recommended).

I knew about this kit before I even purchased my M&P, but didn't get it until after I shot the pistol once, just in case I lucked out and got a decent factory trigger. I had no such luck. It was terrible! Installing this kit made my M&P feel like a totally different pistol (in a good way). There is still plenty of take-up, but virtually no creep, grittiness, or over-travel. Yes, it sucked that the trigger needed to be fixed, but this kit is worth every penny.
