The tactical COVRT pistol pouch is made very, very well. When you place a short barreled .45, or just about any .380 in it, you feel confident that it is securely fixed and won't move. I already had a backup belt system and used it inside the pouch for more security, but it really does not need it. The issue was when I used it with my ZAP COVRT bag. There is a Velcro strap that securely affixes the pouch to the pack, but...here it is. The pouch MOLLE is split in half so you either have one side properly attached and the other side seems to flap in the wind. It also rides a little high for me. It was not very comfortable feeling that only half of the backside of the pouch was affixed to my strap. It also makes it difficult to activate the tab and tear-away zipper feature, The instability on one side or the other just makes it a bit clumsy. The pouch, when used on another pack with both sides strapped in perfectly, works absolutely fantastic. I would buy it again, but not for use on the ZAP COVRT. I prefer the back up belt system inside the actual bag. You must spin it around for access, but it was twice as fast as messing with the tear-away tab with the pouch flopping.
