This .308 Winchester round from Federal Fusion is ideal for deer hunting. It pushes a 165 Grain Jacketed Soft Point Bullet at 2700 fps. 20 Round Box.

I just sighted in my new Remington 700 SPS Tactical with these rounds and I must say they performed outstanding. I had sub 1" groups all day long at 100 yards. I'll be purchasing more to try them at 200 and 300 yards.

I first encountered this ammo in test I run for newly acquired Kimber 84M rifle. I chose it for lower price and good reviews. Compared using repeated 3 shot groups with similar purpose/weight ammo from Winchester, Remington and Hornady. Turns out that for this particular rifle Fusion and Hornady Superformance perform best and indistinguishable, 0.5" groups at 100m. I continued shooting this ammo for practice and after 200+ rounds there is no change in opinion. Hence the review. I have yet to hunt with it, but I'll be using it with confidence.

Just fired this ammo for the first time last weekend and had sub 1" groups at 100 yds. Groups were very tight and no misfires. Shot out of a Remington 700 SPS Varmint

I bought my wife a Browning X-Bolt in .308 Winchester as an early Christmas present and this ammo after reading the other reviews. We were not disappointed. This ammo is extremely accurate out of her browning. First time she took the new gun hunting she dropped a 200lb 8pt whitetail and about 120 yards. Deer dropped like "a sack of taters." I will be buying more!

I was skeptical about this ammunition when I purchased it. I shoot a Remington 700 SPS Tactical, and took a few different brands, and bullet weights to the range. This Fushion was #3 on the list for accuracy behind the Gold Medal Match and the Vital Shok. The Gold Medal was .25 MOA, the Vital shok was close at around .4 MOA and the Fushion was between .3 and .5 MOA. This would make an excellent hunting round for sure.

Shot a 200 lbs boar at 122 yds. Shoulder shot dead center on the bone, shattered the bone and went on to the heart which it pulverized along with all the vitals around it. It was a DRT "Dead Right There" kill, he didn't run an inch. Accurate round too.

I shoot a savage tactical model 12 heavy bore barrel .308 with bullet drop compensation long range scope and this is the only bullet I shoot out of my gun. I have made 350yrd. kill shots on deer that I shot in the neck and head, it's that accurate and I have that much confidence in the bullet hitting where I aim. Really great bullet with a great price by CTD buy it you want be sorry.

I have a Remington 700 VSF in .308 with a 1:10 twist barrel, and I was having a hard time finding a hunting round in the 165-180 grain range that would shoot as nicely as the Federal 168 gr BTHP SMK match round. Even the higher priced choices wouldn't shoot better that 1.25 MOA in my rifle. Someone recommended the 165 gr Fusion cartridge to me. I bought some, and I went right out and started shooting .5 MOA groups with it at 100 yards. That is the cartridge I took hunting with me.

if you need an accurate round for deer, look no further. i have a rem. 700 with a 24" shilen heavy barrel(vs contour).i shoot fed 168 match with sub 3/4moa groups.for me the fusions will shoot as good.i have gotten 3 shot groups @100yds under 1/2 an inch with the 150,165, and 180 gr loads .all of my hunting buds use them in 308,7mm mag, even a h&r 30-30.so far i have not found a gun yet that did not like them.all guns are different,but i have had a lot of luck with them.they perform great on deer also. combined we have shot about 20 deer with them in the past two seasons,and have not lost one yet. the last deer i shot ran about 30yds.(hit just behind shoulder)but the blood trail looked like a halloween decoration. try them,i think you will like them. accurate, afforable, lethal.
