I have always used UMC and American Eagle FMJs, as well as Remington SPs in my M1 Carbine. I have never had functioning issues, or feeding issues that were not magazine related until I used this stuff. First, the bullet profile is not as round as the Remington SPs. In fact, the lead tip seems to push out from the jacket noticeably. Ostensibly as a result of this, I had feeding problems out of every magazine I have, from the cheapo mystery 30 rounder to the original GI 15 rounder. It is also filthy ammo; the sootiest I have ever shot. In anything. You can imagine how that helped the feed issues snowball! I gave it one bullet because I had no misfires, and another because It actually seemed to group well. I won't try to dissuade anyone from trying it in a revolver, (especially those who enjoy cleaning their guns), but suggest that folks keep it out of their carbines.
