I bought this to throw in my gun cabinets. It's sort of like a piece of foam with something resembling a film of oil on it. Sorta greasy feeling, but not in a bad way. Super easy to install, just put it somewhere, and that's it. However, I have two of those desiccant air cleaners in my cabinet as well. A few days after having this pad in the cabinet, all the desiccant showed "wet," Since the weather has been somewhat humid lately and the desiccant packs are also new to my cabinets, I cannot tell if the "wet" desiccant came from this pad or the weather. Perhaps I need to do some more research, but I would say you either go with something like these pads or you go dry with desiccant. Just as always, CTD had it here in record time.
