Big Buddy AKA Mr Heater is a great little heater..really puts out heat in no time. I was glad I purchased this item. Only one little problem. If you purchase this item and you want to hook it up to a propane tank the size of a BBQ tank there is no item here to do that. Do not order hose 51884. Believe me unless you want to go to the hardware store for other fittings forget it. You have to go to Mr Heater. The number is in the manual..the part # is f271803 hose assembly. This is a 11 ft hose with a quick connect to fit on the unit. While your at it order f276127 so you can power heater with DC and not batteries..neither product is here on cheaper than dirt and the techs here have no idea..I was on with 3 of them and customer service..I buy many things from CTD and love the site..Buy this hearter and go get the parts I indicated unless you just want to buy the small bottles I think that might be on the site...You have to have two bottles. One bottle will not work properly..

I Love deer hunting on the coldest day of the year. I get in my shooting house and it works great. My 10 year old son loves it also. This makes our hunts nice and warm. We can hunt all day and not get cold.

I purchased this heater elseware, but I have had it for 3 years, no problems. I use it for heating a one car garage, last week the tempature outside went below 5 degrees. I placed the Big Buddy on high and in 30 minuets I had to turn it down. This thing will run me out of the garage. Also not mentioned in the description is the fact that it has an Oxygen Depletion Sensor so you can use in an enclosed space with out it killing the occupants from suffociation. Makes a great emegrency backup heater. If you can get the AC adapter do it, It will run down the "D" cell battries rather quickly. I run the heater off 30lb cylenders just fine, I guess you could go up to 100 lb if you wanted to.

After having read the labels on different heaters, I decided on this one and am glad that I purchased this one. I have used it in a canvas tent (10x14ft) and it reached a comfortable 68 to 72 degrees (at a 5ft ht.)while it was in the low to mid teens outside. Hooked up to a 20lb. bottle, it lasted 2 weekends (one 3 day and one 4 day) before it used up all the propane. You do need a filter in between the heater and the hose to keep it working the way it's suppose to, and keep the bottle outside. BTW, this heater has 3 settings - low, mid, and hi. It's easy to use and no matches to light it. Also, the fact that it has a battery operated, quiet, fan (uses "D" cells) helped keep me and my hunting partners warm in the tent, we really didn't need to zip up the sleeping bags, we also used cots to be up from the ground. Keep extra batteries on hand. Again, I'm glad I bought this heater. I'l take it with me on each and every hunting trip where I use a tent.
