The rear mounting clamp for this is nearly in the center of the shield. It interfered with the fore grip on my Mossberg security 8-shot. The other shield I have has the front clamp at one end and the rear clamp is actually at the rear, against the receiver, not in the middle. This thing is going back. CTD does sell another shield with the mounts at the ends. This picture sucks, but if you look at some of the other ATI heatshield pictures that show a side view, you will see what I'm talking about.

I have to say that I was very skeptical about this item at first because I have heard horror stories about heat sheilds that arent up to par, and with this one only costing what it does I was even more so. But after installing it and going to the range and pumping some rounds down range with it I have to say that I am very satisfied. It installed very easy and didnt move a bit from the recoil.. All in all a great buy..The one recommendation I would make is that when you install it tighten the screws down so that the metal on the heatshield is bend in towards each other that way its a nice strong fit..
