attached it to gun with no problem flashlight fits tight tried to bang it around would not move nice fit used it on my moss 500 with a coleman light recommend it.

This is a pretty good deal. Clamps good until after 3 shots the flashlight slides out and lands on your foot. If you were in between a bad guy and a hard place in your dark house, you might lose more than your flashlight. This really needs a rubber friction insert to put between the light and the clamp. Nice bang for your buck, but not when the bang makes you lose your flashlight!

I bought this because it was 'cheap.' Well, it is cheap. I used it to attach my Surefire G2 to an 18.5" barrel on my 870. No matter what I tried, I could not get it snug to both flashlight and barrel. I got it 'acceptable' and went the range. On the 2nd shot of rapid fire it was literally blown off the end of the barrel and hit with some of the shot. It was blown to pieces and my G2 has some serious flash burn on it. Save your money and buy a better piece.

The first time I mounted it, it seemed fine - held the light snugly and positioned it in the perfect position for thumb activation. When I attached a sling and jerked it around a little, it quickly slid out of place. I tried to tighten it just a bit more and the screw stripped. This was the second day I had it. I contacted ATI about the problem and got no response. I then replaced the screw and nut with decent steel from home depot and it now works fine as a light mount. Bottom line - don't attach a sling.

Mounted to my old Mossberg 500 ATP and it worked fine. As the previous poster stated, the best set up is to mount the small end on the left side of the tube with a push button light.
