This was a fast and easy install. I like the 2 in one purpose of updating to a newer style stock combined with a built in scope mount that doese not require modifying the origal rifle. I could change my mauser right back to the original WW2 vintage look, and I don't have to worry about any additional holes. This is a great buy if you don't want to start chopping your gun.

great stock for a great price, and it looks great. stock was a lil tricky to get onto my mauser GEW 98, but with a lil fileing and a couple replacment bolts and some patience, the rifle came togeather very nicely, the rail is lil high but it comes with a optional cheak rest that makes the scope line up with my eye just fine, and the rifle holds a zero prefectly. great stock for the money

Waste of money. I threw mine away last week. They give you drywall screws to bolt the halves together. Yes if you have the right bolt it will work but you better off having someone make you a sporter stock. The stock is big and akward and cheap. The rail for scope rings is to high above the barrel to be as accurate as i would like. So i gave mine away to BFI.

OK there is alot of people i know that won't buy this stock because it says that you need to convert you bolt. Ok I can tell you that you do not need to due this. The rail system on this poly stock is awsome there is alot of room on it. I have a Yugo M48 and as you know the bolt on this weapon is bent but it not bent like a 98k. I had no trouble shooting this rifle at all with a scope very close to the action of this weapon. My friend saw mine and he like it so much that he put one on his turkish mauser and he has a straight bolt on it. Now both rifles shoot really accurate now i can't even believe that i was hitting targets out to 650 yards with this little 8MM. My friends could shoot even futher than mine since the barrel on his was longer. All in out this stock was very well designed and it's rubber butt pad really helps on the recoil of the rifle. there is three different colors and one more thing this is to everybody if u buy this don't worry it will work on your straight bolt mauser all you gots to do is get a good eye relief scope and you are set. later SSgt.
