Got my first deer ever with this ammo recently. I had read about many people talking smack about the AR-15 as a deer rifle. I'm no expert, but my experience with this ammo was a "one shot, one kill" moment, and that deer didn't take but 10 steps and dropped like a stone.

This is very accurate ammo out of my Bushmaster 1x9 twist. It is deadly on whitetails within 100 or so yards. I took a nice eight pointer and a mature doe with this round and both dropped in their tracks. Complete pass through on both deer. Be selective with your shots and a .223 will cleanly bring down whitetails.

I bought this round to take hog hunting based on the other reviews. Shot a 100 lb. Texas hog at about 75 yards with my modified Ruger Mini-14. Absolutely tore the hogs insides to shreds. He made it about 5 feet before dropping dead...

After missing 4 deer with the messed up .30-30, I grabbed the .223 as a last resort to get a deer. Biggest buck of my life appears @ 100yds broadside, not moving...one shot from my TC Encore dropped him in his tracks to never move again. Couldn't believe it! 12 point Wisconsin whitetail @ 195 lbs, dead from 60 gr .22 cal bullet!
