Can I SELL here?
Anyone who is legally allowed to own an item, is allowed to sell
it here.
The following information is not intended to be a complete
guide to all applicable laws.
It is the seller’s responsibility to be in compliance with
all Federal, state, and local laws when using this site.
Your local Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) dealer is the
expert on firearms laws in your area.
First and foremost it is illegal for an individual to
ship a firearm to an individual who is not a FFL dealer.
You can ship a firearm to a FFL dealer providing you have a
signed copy of the FFL dealer’s license.
Legal methods of sending a copy of the FFL dealer license
include photocopy sent via mail, facsimile or e-mail scanned copies.
You do not have to be a FFL dealer to sell a firearm.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to make arrangements with a
FFL dealer in their area to receive the firearm and then transfer the gun to them.
FFL dealers include gun shops, pawn shops or gunsmiths who
sell or distribute firearms.
In some cases the receiving FFL dealer will only accept firearm
transfers from another FFL dealer.
What does legally allowed to own a gun mean?
The buyer must be an adult who is able to enter into a
contract.

There are age limits on the sale of certain items and some
are illegal in some localities - for example 'assault weapons' cannot be sold
in California and some knives are illegal in a variety of states and cities.
The NRA also has put together a terrific guide to state-by-state gun laws.
The BATF has compiled information on the various state laws; click here to view the BATF state-by-state gun laws information.
Again, it is the seller’s responsibility to make sure that he
or she complies with city, state and federal laws. Illegal activity could
quickly land you in prison, so check before you sell.
Some items, such as air guns, knives, ammunition, antique
guns that were built in 1898 or earlier, and some gun parts, do not require a
dealer license to purchase. There are age restrictions and laws regulating the
sale of many of these items, and it is in the seller’s best interest to check
the laws and verify the age of the buyer before shipping the item. You must be
18 years old to sell items on this site.
You must be at least 21 years old to sell ammunition.
If you have any questions or doubts about selling an item to
an individual, please contact your local FFL dealer, or research the item on
the above mentioned web sites.
It is illegal to ship
