Subject: Sig P220 Magazine Release
Hey All,
A friend of mine recently purchasd a like new P220. It was obviously owned by a leftie because the magazine catch button is on the right side of the grip frame. Is this a factory option and can the catch be reversed back to right hand mode? Thanks.

I'm not sure about the factory option part. Sig may set one up at a customer's request. The release is reversible though and should only take a few minutes if performed by a trained gunsmith or armorer. There is a small, spring loaded release pin in the button that is depressed to release it. The grips have to be removed and a plate is moved from the left side of the frame to the right. Re-assemble in reverse order.
